Sometimes i read petty comments from anti-gahment supporters, i cringe at the thought that the country will be run by them in the FUTURE?! Touchy subject but I need to let off some steam.
Gahment may not be right all the time BUT IT BEATS HAVING THESE SHALLOW ANTI-SUPPORTERS running the country!
Let me list out what I meant by shallow.
1. TP came out with more fines for traffic offenders.
shallow-fellows will say -> see! that is how gahment suck our money.
Do i need to explain anymore?
You mean if you break traffic rules, it is the gahment's fault that you got penalized? And because of that, you think by offering your vote to the opposition party, they will WAIVE THAT FINE FOR YOU or thinks that it is fine that you broke a traffic law?
And if TP doesn't take action, shallow-fellows will say "gahment put citizen's life at risk. Is this how they treat us? vote wisely."... *twitch brow, foams in mouth* .. You just cannot beat them.
p.s somehow, civil servants (includes police, medical sector, army and the likes) are all under the gahment-supporters. i don't know why.
2. Gahment swallow our CPF monies.
This is the most mentioned about complain.
Me too infact. And every year the minimum sum increases. Will we ever be able to utilize all those money? It is hard earned. Gahment didn't give it to us. We worked for it!
I hear ya.
But think about it. Really.
If gahment release all that monies, would you still have any left to grow old with? To a certain extend, they are safe keeping it for us. And use it when we need.
You may argue "it is my money. how i spend it, is my prerogative." Sure thing.
But don't come back begging for assistance when you happened to squander it all over one weekend at the casino.
And when gahment doesn't help, you will have something else to say.
i.e our gahment don't help the poor.
And if we die, the money goes to our descendants. Not gahment.
bah.
3. The Casino
It is also the gahment's fault that our people become gamblers and lost their live savings to the casino.
Tell me. How does that make any logic sense to you?
4. Minister's Pay
How does it affect you? You think it is an easy job?
Look at the amount of bashing they get everyday whether they did it right or not.
I bet their insurance premium is the highest.
Next time, study harder. So that YOU can sit in their, i quote from you guys "comfortable air-conditioned office." and make the difference in the lives of our people, okay?
For now, suck it up and deal with it.
Don't just keep barking senseless bashing. Have a alittle more substance.
Some of the opposition parties are up the mark. They really do care for the citizens.
They deserve recognition and their ideas heard. These i have to give credit.
But sadly, most are just making senseless accusations.
Are these the people you want to run your country? Certainly not me.
On a happier note, I love dogs.

You know I love you, Donna..
This was from Season 4 epi 15.
OMG.
How?!
And in the new season, we see more of Harvey's vulnerable side.
OMG. I love them both but it sucks to see them part.
(which i kinda believe it is temporary. Sucks to be litt. *laughs*)

Sexist
Elderly (perhaps age 50 and above) / families who sail from the less developed countries or women who grew up in male dominant upbringing will think that it is not necessary for a woman to extend their education journey pass primary 6.
To them, having to go up to secondary school is JIN HO LIAO.
After that, they should start looking for life partners. And upgrade their skills at household chores instead.
Because after the woman marry, they should stay home and be a housekeeper, a mother, a wife and a superwoman.
Leave the duty of bringing the bread home to the male counter parts instead.
So we have this part time aunty who comes over to clean our office twice a week.
She is from a rather backward country where her family is mostly male dominating.
She married a local and had 4 wonderful children. Her youngest daughter scored herself a spot in the local university with a scholarship! *applause!*
So said aunty was sharing with me how she never had proper education and her daughter actually get to go uni.
Then it started to go downhill. She added saying it is not needed for girls to study so hard. Eventually, a woman will marry and be a mother, like herself.
She also mentioned her relatives (all from the same village) thinks that she shouldn't allow her daughter to carry on with uni.
WTF?
It's a scholarship. Means daughter gets to study for FREE.
Even if there isn't a scholarship in place, getting a spot in university isn't all that easy. I mean not that difficult either. But when opportunity arise, grab it! Sheesh!
But noooooooooooooooo. Said relatives were putting aunty down with their awful words.
"waste money study so much" - SCHOLARSHIP PEOPLE. NOT MONEY FROM OWN POCKET.
"when i was her age, I'm already a homemaker" - That's because you suck. Literally and figuratively.
"study so much end up also stay home and be a mother." - and then teach the following generations the same ol' so that their society will always be in-situ.
How does it benefit them, i wonder. To keep putting others down.
ya jealous, ma fren?
It is an education FFS.
geez.
And now dual income is almost necessary in most family.
OTHERWISE why does aunty have to come back into the work force after being a SAHM for 30years?
aya.
I don't know why I'm so worked up for what lor.
Not directly affecting me also.
Perhaps, I just cannot tolerate the sexist thing at this day and age.
GET ON WITH THE SOCIETY!

An assortment of blabbering
This is a compilation of an assortment of unhappiness/happyness and musings that i've encountered since last year.
Nothing much actually. It is just some things i couldn't get past. Or need to share.
1. I'm not pregnant. (Stop asking and stop guessing.)
Quit smoking because it is about time i stop making excuses for myself.
(Although it means i've to work doubly hard at gym because stop smoking means I'll keep eating to kerb the urge.)
AND EVEN IF I DO get pregnant, i'll announce when I'm ready and when I want to.
Not at your constant poking.
Or hinting.
Or sarcasm.
BTW, the joy of quitting the sticks is awesome. The dollars saved isn't significant because I spent it all on starbucks. HAHA.
But the smell. Holy shit. I never really understood how bad a smoker smell.
Your hair, your clothes, your breath.
No amount of perfume you spritz will help. You can pour the entire perfume on yourself and there will still be stale smoker smell lingering, somewhere somehow.
Your food taste better. Smoking really fucks up your tastebuds.
You can't get close to your friends kids the instant you see them. It is as understood agreement that one should wash their hands before touching other people's kid. (or isit just me?paranoid.)
Of course not forgetting the endless health benefits.
I could do 3.2km in 20mins now. (nothing to shout about lar. But quite a feat for me already.)
Means I can still pass my IPPT!
This pride surpasses the need to pick up the stick again. (for me at least. Some kinda pat on my back and encouragement for quitting.)
But I'm not perfect either coz sometimes I still steal a puff or 2 when I see my brother. heh.
BUT no. I am not pregnant.
2. I'm not pregnant.
Quit drinking altogether just as well. Because if i drink, I WILL NEED TO SMOKE.
Period.
3. You become your other half.
For the weaker (emotionally) partner, you will start behaving like your partner with time.
Can be good, can be bad. I've seen both.
4. Chinese New Year
How i hate this festive occasion.
But on the bright side, I welcome the long break.
The need to pretend to be happy to see a certain relative. All the unnecessary concocted polite conversations. OHHHH PUULLLEEEEESSSSSSS... *roll eyes*
Isn't the occasion suppose to be happy and jolly? But you end up feeling stupid and jaded from all the efforts trying to be nice.
5. Welcoming the New Year 2015.
This year is a perhaps-could be year for me.
I might or might not leave my job. We'll see how it pans out.
This travelling distance is taking a toll.
6. My brother is married.
This is one of the biggest boulder that was sitting on my shoulder for the longest time.
(felt like my son got married..LOLLL)
Happy like a bird.
That was prolly the best thing that happened to start this year with a bang.
And I'm very happy he is blessed with a good wife.
7. This is getting too long and I've lost my train of thoughts. Maybe I should stop here. HAHA.
The End

Travel bug
The itchy backside part of me is craving for yet, another adventure forth another continent.
But a tiny voice in me is keeping me grounded because of the plane crashes lately. :/
Of course, if your time is up, even walking on the pavement could get you killed. (no offence.)
Anyways.
Let's go!
This time, me lemmings for San Francisco (CA), LA and New York.
That said, if travel bug does come true, me thinks me is flying first class. Confine space in the economy seats just doesn't do for any flight longer than 13 hours!
I wanna see the golden bridge, watch an NBA match (not a fan but you just gotta do it.), go to the hollywood, meet a few idols (maybe?), check out the concert hall designed by Frank Gehry....
Too many things to do! And of course eat until fat!
So now, let's put things into reality.
Cost.
Flight cost should put me to about $10000. (SQ 2 way between san fran and sg) Haven't include domestic flights from san fran to La and to Ny.
Nahbeh.
Don't want to plan already.
Maybe until my $3 investment yields.
Sorry I wasted your time reading if you thought you could exchange itinerary pointers with me.
byebye.

Cinematic effects
Omg.
I must have been living at the foot of a mountain all these while.
Quite sure effects like this have been around since the beginning of time.
But there is something different about this.
It is kinda freaky but at the same time, very amazing!
Click here -> Static fotos but in motion.
Sneak preview.
I know it is a .gif. But he made it static and yet in motion. I mean it looks really natural yet freakish somehow.
My lack of vocabulary really failed to give a proper description so please click on the link and view it on your own.
I am really fascinated by it. O_O

Insatiable craves
Have you ever want something so bad, so bad that you keep itching around on your seat.
1. You can't keep still for a moment.
(you shift from one ass cheek to another as if there were sand in your underwear.)
2. Your mind race with thoughts of it.
(coupled with visions of it that keeps flashing across your eyes.)
3. Your breathe quickens.
(with eager anticipation.)
4. You can't function properly at work or just anything that you were suppose to do on hand.
(keep getting distracted. The on-going mind games your heart is playing with your head. tsk tsk.)
And at the end of the day, all the adrenaline just goes to waste because your want isn't achievable.
Yet. (maybe.. just maybe..)
Then your body slumps into a pile of wretched mess in the end because you have used up all your energy in the above 4 mentioned.
Repeatedly throughout the day.
Bottomline is, what a waste to a good day doing nothing. Nothing productive, that is.
Just look at this blog entry.
*laughs*
