50 Shades of Grey

The much much much awaited movie is finally scheduled to air next year.
*as i recall parts of the novel while penning this down, i'm already feeling all hot and flustered.*
HAHA.

Anyways, to the unknown (man especially) who thinks that we are reading porn, this is why ladies love love lovvvvvvvvvvvveeeeeeeeeeeee christian-oh-my-fxxking-goodness-sex-symbol-grey.

1. Powerful hero. "He is dark, mysterious, and possibly dangerous -- a total Alpha male. He's wild, dangerous and unpredictable. Being with him is like a roller coaster ride."
2. Awakened Heroine. "She is innocent. She is the yin to the yang of Christian Grey. She is a young woman awakened by this man who knows a lot more. "
3. Christian Grey uses all the senses -- taste, touch, sight, scent, sound. "For example, Ana is always talking about how he smells and he about her scent. He also consciously uses these different triggers to arouse her."
4. Music is huge part of it. There are many musical moments in the book that inspire erotic or emotionally charged moments.
5. He appeals to her psychologically. "He sends signals to throw her off-balance, such as his first gift of the collector's edition of Tess of the d'Urbervilles. He attached a quote from the book that says there may be danger waiting. It creates more intrigue for her and she is intrigued by him."
6. There is stimulation of all the erogenous zones and multisensory anticipation. "Christian does it with such expertise, and so much foreplay, with plenty of time to get Anastasia ready."
A. Primary erogenous zones. Genitals and breasts.
B. Secondary erogenous zones: Earlobe, neck.
C. Tertiary erogenous zones: Feet, arms, scalp.
7. BDSM. "The book has opened up the door a crack to things people may not have considered before. In Fifty Shades, Ana has many fears about being hurt, but when she is in the red room of pain she is not just in pain -- she is in a state of arousal beyond what she would normally feel. Sexual arousal sometimes involves working with negative emotions such as fear and anxiety. It's the experience of being on a roller coaster that enhances the state of arousal."
8. Love. "Ana pushes for 'more' than being his submissive and he 'tries' because he will do anything to keep her. He's only had subs [submissive female partners] before, women that he has controlled, and he is pushed to his hard limits by Ana who is demanding more. That's what people love about the book. They want the romance, the emotional tension. Will it work out for them? They want to know!"
9. The experience of being desired. "This is a huge erotic trigger for women. It's the experience of being that special someone. There is no one else in his eyes. He only has eyes for her. She is the one he longs for. It combines the erotic with the sensual. Being desired is such a turn on for women."
10. He's very loyal. "At first we are not sure if we can trust him. She talks about his 'stalker tendencies.' What wins Ana over, and wins the reader over, is he's very loyal. And when she needs him, he's there. I think it works because women can feel the fantasy of having that danger, with the security of having a good relationship."
Cooper's analysis made perfect sense to me in both understanding what the character Anastasia experienced and how the readers, too, took that roller coaster ride into the kinky romance and the psychologically intrigue. The idea that women can experience the fantasy with Ana, yet view it from the safety of their own relationships, also explains the appeal of the books.
The concept of "erotic triggers" can be very helpful in relationships, in general. InFifty Shades of Grey, here are some of the ways those triggers kept Ana, and the reader, in a state of anticipation:
• Sound: "You are mine," he whispers, "only mine. Don't forget it." His voice is intoxicating, his words heady, seductive." (Page 119, Fifty Shades of Grey, E.L. James)."
• Sight: "A slow, sexy smile spreads across his lovely face, and I am rendered speechless as my insides melt. He is without a doubt the most beautiful man on the planet, too beautiful for the little people below, too beautiful for me (page 370, Fifty Shades of Grey, E.L. James)."
• Touch and Scent: "He runs the tips of his finger down my cheek. Oh my. His proximity, his delicious Christian smell. We're supposed to be talking but my heart is pounding, my blood singing as it courses through my body, desire pooling, unfurling... everywhere. Christian bends and runs his nose along my shoulder and up the base of my ear, his fingers slipping into my hair (page 427, Fifty Shades of Grey, E.L. James)."

Woman are about all senses whereas man (mostly) are about sight. And so christian fulfilled that fantasy. Not to mentioned that he is filthy wealthy, overly protective (that's just probably me. I'm weird like that.) and drop dead gorgeous (or how ever our imaginations portray him to be).

Very much anticipating for the trailer to be out tomorrow!
Till then! Keep you legs crossed ladies!

Ciao!

Weak

I think i'm very emotionally driven.

And tiny stuff that usually doesn't involve me,affects me quite alot.

I was at a mrt station and happen to see this secondary school girl sitting at a corner. She looked like she is bleeding.

Later i realised she was actually nose bleeding. And it was all over her school uniform. Mrt personels were attending to her but i still walk over and offered her all my tissues.
(Apparently she was using her PE teeshirt to wipe the blood off her face).

She said thank you to me.

And then i felt like crying.
Now i feel bad. Like why didn't i offer more. Like if she needs help to contact her family. Or see a doctor.

I tried to reason with myself.
Okay. There are the mrt staffs there to assist. It is okay. She is in good hands.
But it doesn't put the thoughts of my inability/you-could-have-done-more thoughts out of mind, out of sight.

Because of her reaction to her nose bleed, it seems like it is her first experience.

Anyways, i wish her well. And pray that it is just a one off incident. With probably the lack of water and too much fried stuff.

Sigh..

Insatiable craves

Have you ever want something so bad, so bad that you keep itching around on your seat.

1. You can't keep still for a moment.
(you shift from one ass cheek to another as if there were sand in your underwear.)

2. Your mind race with thoughts of it.
(coupled with visions of it that keeps flashing across your eyes.)

3. Your breathe quickens.
(with eager anticipation.)

4. You can't function properly at work or just anything that you were suppose to do on hand.
(keep getting distracted. The on-going mind games your heart is playing with your head. tsk tsk.)

And at the end of the day, all the adrenaline just goes to waste because your want isn't achievable.

Yet. (maybe.. just maybe..)

Then your body slumps into a pile of wretched mess in the end because you have used up all your energy in the above 4 mentioned.

Repeatedly throughout the day.

Bottomline is, what a waste to a good day doing nothing. Nothing productive, that is.
Just look at this blog entry.

Miam Miam cured my sweet tooth crave!

Hello.

Finally tried this Japanese and French mixed cafe over the weekend.

About us

Miam Miam is a casual Artisanal French café-restaurant that brings together a mixture of French Artisanal Cuisine & Techniques with influences derived from traditional Japanese preparation & cooking arts.

This place is never short of customers. There is always either a long queue or a full house.
But yesterday was exceptionally quiet. (maybe world cup season. everyone was still in bed.heh.)

So there.

Jump with joy and quickly get myself seated.

The menu wasn't really extensive. Good because it makes decision making easier.
But I wasn't feeling up for a main course so i chosea dessert instead.
(Girls and their sweet tooth. And then complain about a fat ass later.)

I picked this.

Caramelised Banana

Bananas cooked in a deep golden caramel sauce, garnished with toasted almond nibs!

Holy.
Wait for it.

The brown fluff you see at the base is actually a pancake. Not your conventional kind.
This is like a japanese cake-ish sorta pancake. The french fusion is perhaps the gelato and caramelised banana.

I was told by the waitress that i had to wait 25mins for this. Ok.
It had to be good since the wait was pretty long for a dessert.

Lo' and behold.
The pancake is indeed worth the wait. It was really fluffy inside.
Fluffy. Not airy. Not thick or flat.

Pardon the mess. But this is how the insides of the fluff looks like.
I can't explain to you how this fluff goes very well with the gelato and/or the caramalized banana.

Even after 15mins into my slow motion slicing and devouring every bit of the fluff, the pancake remained fluffy. It didn't deflate neither did it harden. (you know how some cakes does it when they aren't made properly.)

This is really soft on the inside and slightly toasted on the outside. Just ever so slightly.

After 30mins, I finally cleared the plate. Satisfied with a bloated tummy. And perhaps a bigger ass the next day.

I toss the remaining ice-cream into my coffee. And it instantly became affogato-ish. *LOL*

My opinion is : If you are looking for a dessert after a meal, this is one to SHARE. I didn't had a main course and this felt like i just had a full meal.
Pair this with a cuppa light tea. An earl grey, maybe. This doesn't sit very well with coffee.
It gets too "jelat" after a while.

On a whole, this is worth once in a while as a sinful indulgence.

Hello Panda !

I know i know..
This might seemed a little late and you might have already heard about this.

BUT for those who might still be unaware, Meiji is onto their 40th anniversary this year!
And they are having a small contest.

Buy any of the flavored Hello Panda (make sure the packet says "Win $4000"), download the Meiji 40th Anniversary QR code reader from AppStore or PlayStore (depending on the make of your phone.).
Scan the code and you will find out instantaneously if you win anything!

Their prize range is $200, $1000 and $4000 in cash!!!!!

And guess who got lucky. *beams*

ME ME ME!!!

I wasn't aware of the anniversary thingy going on. Picked a box on random because I felt like I needed a snack.

And so coincidentally i picked the packaging that comes with the contest.

So unassumingly, i followed the instructions.
1. Ripped open box.
2. Download Meiji application.
3. Scan the QR code.

AND VIOLA!
Yours truly won the $200.

It may seem little to you but it is says alot for me.

Because your highness here was never really lucky in lucky draw or contest of any sorts. LOL.

So this came as a pleasant surprise for me. Heh heh.

Anyways, go grab a couple of boxes and try now! Contest ends 31st July! Who knows you may just be the $4000 winner!

Remember it's the packaging that prints "Win $4000" in front!

Good luck!
And TGIF!

Lazy sunday

Look. Look at the glorious yellow sunshine.

And for me, 2 teaspoons of dark soya sauce.

BTW, Yakun's soft boiled eggs are almost always boiled to perfection. They have a certain temperature to follow.

And finally, their old school toasted bread with kaya and butter spread.
The butter is usually in slices like this.

Sinful but oh-so-yummy.
Not forgetting their tea. Teh-Si if you will.

Their tea is different from other similar cafes.
This tea blends very well with the evaporated milk. Just something that gels them together beautifully. Like a perfect relationship.

Tip: The most consistant teh-si is from the Marine Parade branch. Sometimes NEX @ Serangoon.

Peace out!
