Bread and Butter

HOLA!!! It's FRRRRRRRRRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIDDDDDDDDDDDDAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!

Anyways, I would like to introduce to you this simple all day breakfast set from Hans Singapore.

Now the highlight about this set isn't the scramble eggs.

Sidenote:: if you are residing in sydney or planning to visit sydney, please head to Bill Granger. He spent alot of time perfecting the best scramble eggs. And his scramble eggs are ze best!

Back to Hans. I had the bacon scramble eggs set 2 weeks ago. The scramble eggs were OKAY. Bacon strips were a tad too salty. But the toast! Holy cow! I wouldn't say that they are ze best but it was mmmmmmmmm delish!

There isn't any fancy dressing nor fancy name for the toast. It was just plain white bread, lightly toasted and lightly buttered. There is something about the butter/margarine. I just can't stop eating it.

The fragrance, the smooth texture, the nostalgic taste! There isn't this stale buttery after taste nor overly greasy feeling on your lips that you may have experience at some coffeeshops.

Sidenote 2:: I've never like having bread as entree of any sorts. Even those that I've had at Hilton doesn't entice me to wanna munch them all.

So I thought, "bah.. I'm sure they will not be consistent with the standards. Maybe the next time wouldn't be so yummy anymore".

A couple of days ago, I've decided to pay them another visit.
This time I ordered the sausage scramble eggs set instead.

Rubbing my hands eagerly and proceed to pick up one half of the toast.
Sank my teeth slowly into it. ( not the suarez amazing vampire bites okay?)

HOLY COWWWW!!!
The toast was awesome. Pardon the limited adjectives. My engrish isn't all oxford.
But OMG! *proceeds to gobble up them all*

The toast isn't burnt or overly toasted. They were jusssssttttt nice.
And the fragrance of the butter/margarine/what-ever-magic-that-they-used. *smack lips*

Even for the husband, who isn't at all a bread person (besides burger), thought that the plain ol'buttered toast was great!

Okay. That's all I wanna say about their food. I've yet to try the rest of the menu so I can't comment about them.

And btw, the branch i went was at Changi City Point. I'm not sure if they share the same standards at their other branches.

P.s Please do not curse me if you tried them and find that they don't taste as good as I've described. We all have different expectations. If you are looking for Michelin star standards, maybe this isn't cut out for you.

Peace out.

Address : Changi City Point, 5 Changi Business Park Central 1, #01-51/53, Singapore 486038.

Wongfu

Rare second post for the day!

But this, I have to share.
It touched a raw nerve.

http://wongfuphil.wordpress.com/2014/06/24/my-end-of-the-deal/

Wongfu is a youtube sensation (if you don't know about them, I don't know where were you throughout your living days.)

They make really good short shorts. Alot of raw emotions in it.
And at the same time, they are a bunch of funny people living normal lives off screen.

Anyways, I just want to take out a paragraph from Phil's blog entry about his dad. Because it speaks for most of us with asian parents.

"My dad is not a social guy. He’s quiet, keeps to himself, and apparently has been this way for much of his life. He’s tried to have friends, but always felt out of place, or uncomfortable, and as a reaction, he would avoid people more. And then along comes me, a son, an extension of him. And with me he encourages all the social aspects he lacks, or always felt too afraid to expose. Have an imagination, have a quick wit and sharp tongue, play tennis and basketball like the people on tv, …include me in your life. My dad was trying to create the friend he always wanted. The cool kid, the fun guy, a friend he knew he couldn’t lose, so long as the friend didn’t reject him."

Now look back into your childhood. Does this all seemed familiar to you? It sure does for me.

We were all complaining about "why did you make me do things that you don't?!" or.. "mom! you don't even like piano! Why did you make me learn it?!" ..  And the list goes on.

We were always complaining that the parents are always trying to mould us into something that they want. Or that they are always making us try things that they missed out in their childhood. Where did what WE need and want go to?

Now we all know why.

That is a very insightful blog entry. But then again, his entries are always insightful. It's me who is the daft one. T_T

Peace out.

Rage

I've decided that I should never be allowed on the roads.
Driving i mean.

I've got horrible road rages.

1. Signal your bloody intentions.

1.1 Whenever I see a vehicle who wants to cross to another lane but stubbornly refuse to use the signal indicator, i get mad.

YOU PAID SO MUCH MONEY TO BUY A CAR WITHOUT SIGNAL INDICATOR?!

1.2 And said driver still grunts and whines that "the other drivers not gracious one. Don't want to give way".  Makes me boil.

2. Self-righteous drivers

2.1 "those motorcyclist should just keep in lane and not do split lanes! so dangerous"
FINE YOU MOFOS.
When motorcyclist keep in their lane, this is what you do to them.

I would love to shove your self-rights into your arse. May you burn in hell.

2.2 While motorcyclist do lane splits, some drivers love to play god.

"let me inch closer to the lane marks. so that they cannot lane split"

DO NOT EVER DO THAT WHEN YOU SEE THE MOTORCYCLE IS HALF A CAR LENGTH BEHIND YOU. YOU STUPID OR WHAT?!!!!!!

2.3 If you also cannot turn your head slightly 45 degrees to check blind spot, please do mankind a favour, don't drive.

3. Female/Aunty drivers. I'm sorry. (I'm a woman as well btw.)

3.1 Alot of aunty drivers are not aware of their surroundings.
They have what we like to call, tunnel vision. They will not turn their heads around to check their sides nor use the backview mirror to check the back.

And when they get honks and the likes, they complain about the other drivers instead.
*Shakes head in disbelieve*

Period.

When all the above happens, I would flick the international hand sign like second nature. And if said driver retaliate, i will not hesitate to let them taste my fist. or my shoe.

(I know, 2 wrongs don't make a right. Which is why i make a left. LOL. not funny.)

SEEEEEE. HORRIBLE ROAD RAGE ME!

Anyways, it seems like road rage is more likely to happen in high strung countries like ours and hongkong.
Drivers are way way way more patient in places like london and aussie.
Isit the weather?

Weather now in your hot and humid singapore is 34 degree celsius.
Welcome to humidity that clouds your brain.

peace.

Humanity restored part duex

And so as i walked out from the lift of my flat, i saw our indian/blangahdesh cleaner picking stuff from the trash.

It is a common sight here because alot of them could sometimes pick up treasures and sell them for extra cash.

At the end of the road, there was an old gentleman dragging a, i assume, an abandon luggage bag. Coz it looked all torn and tattered.
So said cleaner picked up all he thought was valuable, packed them into a recycling bag and hand then over to the old gentleman. Cleaner even removed a ring from his finger and hand them to the old gentleman as well.

What a heart warming sight!
Cleaner walked the extra mile of picking out valuables which could be sold for cash to the old uncle instead of keeping it for himself.
For that, thank you.
Thank you for keeping our estates clean and helping the poor.
Ciao

Uninspire

Despite being friday, my all time favorite day of the week, i feel extremely uninspired.

Now I'm wondering.

What do I achieve from blogging?
There is nothing that I'm sharing is effectively helpful at all? Does it?

Nevermind.
Take 5.

Accidentally stumbled on this song through a TVB drama named Swipe Tap Love.
If you are into sappy romantic humor drama, this is something you might love to watch.
It tugged my heartstrings through all 20 episodes enough to make me weep towards the end.

(either that or it's just the hormones again. *laughs*)

Not quite sure what the song is singing about but I think it is something along encouragement., don't give up, don't despair.

To end this post, i would like to share a quote.
"we are always searching for someone whose demons will play well with ours."

ciao

Stay in touch

I've friends from the start of my educational life until now, when I'm working to pay for my dailies.

We begin making friends perhaps in the nursery. Where we just wail and wave to the next baby sleeping next to you.

Anyways, let's get to the point.

Friends.

As you leave your primary school and subsequently secondary, tertiary, university, you would have made countless friends.

At the end of each term, you might brawl your eyes out and made vows with each other to stay in touch otherwise we'll all grow pimples in our nose.

Stay in touch.

How many of us really really kept in touch. By keeping in touch, does it mean seeing each other for dinner/lunch/coffee (you get the gist)?
Or by just seeing their updates on facebook?

Sure, we all drift apart. Probably changed in one way or another. Migrate, a new job, new boyfriend perhaps.

I admit. I've some friends whom I use to see eye to eye with in school, we can be seen wearing the same sneakers, carrying the same school bag, tippy toes holding hands and singing tunes to boyzone;

And suddenly fast forward 10years, we don't agree with  each other anymore.

We have changed.

Slowly, we drifted. From meeting up for late night coffee, to the occasional "how are you" through whatsapp, until now; FACEBOOK UPDATES.

And it stops there.

We don't communicate much anymore besides the "nice photo! where was this taken?" comment on facebook.

Was it my fault that I didn't work hard enough to maintain the friendship or separations like this is just part and parcel of life?

Ignore.

That was the last straw. We bumped into each other on the road. But instead of going "HI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!", we turned our heads away in unison. Pretending we don't exist.

BUT still friends on facebook.

Makes me wonder. What's the point if we don't greet or acknowledge each other on the roads but still "keeping in touch" on facebook.

Such is life.

Life is weird.

p.s I didn't get pimples in my nose. *touch wood*
pp.s I  do have a tight friendship with some of my schoolmates!

Replacement

Hi to whoever is reading.

Good monday morning to you.

I've a slight problem. I've been using Fancl loose powder since the beginning of time.
But last year, they have decided to cease operations here in singapore. (change of management they said.*shrugs*)

So I bought the last of the last batch they have kept in stores and I'm currently running low in supply. :O
Now I'm pleading... What is the best replacement? I love how Fancl doesn't clog my pores, loose powder but offers decent coverage over my BB cream, doesn't really falter under perspiration (and my oily T-zone), manage to last me a good 6 hours before any touch up. Best of all, it is REALLY affordable.

Now that it is gone forever (unless I've got friends travelling to Japan), I'm in search of an equivalent replacement.
I know I can purchase it online.. But... the very absent minded me... couldn't remember the shade I'm wearing. heh.

HELP. ANYONE HAS ANY IDEA???????

My girlfriend suggest Chanel. But I need to hear more reviews.

HELPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP!!!!!

TGIF

It is the much much awaited friday! *throws confetti*

I'm one of those 8-5 mundane employees who starts off monday by counting down to friday.
And no, i do not have plans at all. But being able to stay up late and not worrying about insufficient sleep is VERY important to me. LOL.

Your royal highness needs at least 8 hours of sleep everyday on work days. Or at least I imagine it as 8 hours because I don't sleep through undisturbed.

And plus my job doesn't need me to interact much with anyone, suddenly my language becomes a problem. O_O
Cannot deliver my sentence articulately. Most of the time mental block. O_O

I needa do more reading! geez.

Okays. There goes my day 2 blog post.
So interesting that I wanna worship myself. *roll eyes, foam in the mouth*

As a parting note, I think my next game would be WATCH DOGS. The game play is similar to SLEEPING DOGS. The difference lies in the country background in the game.
I enjoyed SLEEPING DOGS alot! So I would assume WATCH DOGS would just be as interesting.

Read all about it here.

Have a great weekend!

ARGH!

Why is blogspot much harder to configure!
My layout needs alot more fine tuning before I kick start anything..

I mean, not that I've something important.. *chuckles*

Short introductory.
My name is... (okay. that's not important). But you may call me The Rogue.
Well, at least that's what the X-men character quiz said I was.

You haven't done the test? Ok. Link here.

I'm a girl (okok. aunty) born and bred on the land of sunny singapore.

So hello whoever you are! *waves frantically!*

Peace out.
